#7: Death and Spirituality
What is the difference between Chronos and Kairos?
From the spiritual perspective, however, clock time (Earth time, Chronos) exists enveloped withinspiritual time (Dream-time, Kairos), which has a quite different, eternal and non-linear character. How can they be applied to concepts such as death, resurrection, and karma
A new way to think of it, compatible with earlier myths, is possible. At the point of death, the person no longer inhabits the world of clock time. They, their essence, their soul, no longer part of Chronos, seems to stay in the seamless eternity of Kairos.
What remains in earth time are the traces of the departed; some solid and enduring, like physical monuments, others more ephemeral, subtle influences and memories. They form contributions that; because clock time goes only forward, and because spiritual time is everlasting; cannot be eradicated.
