#3: Shinto Kami and Matsuri Festival

Assignment: There are an infinite number of Kami to be worshiped in Shintoism. It is now your turn to add one more to the list. Using your knowledge of Kami you will create your own personal Kami. You will need to name your Kami, write a brief description of your Kami and draw a picture of it. Hibiki Kami. This kami is responsible for echoes and reverberation.

After you have your new Kami it’s time to design a Matsuri festival to celebrate! Write a paragraph description of what your festival would be like. Includes elements such as name of the festival, tone of worship (happy, fun, solem etc), function of your Kami, food served, colours used, dress of participants, activities taking place and how your Kami will be treated.

The Matsuri festival that would take place would be the Celebration of Reflection. It would be a happy and fun festival celebrating sound and echoes. It would have lots of music, be colourful and would be open to the public.
